Shipping Information

Notice

Shipping is a very important decision when purchasing a puppy. The information provided here is for your convenience.  Please note that once the puppy has left our care, they will be in the hands of qualified professionals with experience in handling live animals.

Prior to shipping, arrangements must be made to ensure the best possible travel for the safety of the pet. There are also set guidelines required by the airline companies that must be pre-arranged.

When making arrangements for shipping of a live animal, please be sure to schedule plenty of time that will not interfere with your daily routine.  The Airline will require you to pick up the animal within an allotted amount of time for the safe delivery of your pet, please be sure to also have a backup plan in case of emergency.

Safe Nationwide Delivery

When a puppy is purchased from an area that requires shipping, rest assured that the airlines are very safe and ultimately monitored.

There are very strict guidelines required by not only the shipper but the airlines themselves.

Each pet that is transported must have a valid current certificate of health and must state in addition at what temperatures the specific animal is required to travel at.   This is determined by a qualified veterinarian that has examined the pet animal thoroughly with travel in mind. The veterinarian also determines if the animal is healthy for travel, in fact in most cases the examination is more thorough than a routine visit.

When live animals are delivered to the airlines, the travel carrier is inspected, the bedding inside is inspected and the animal itself is inspected to assure that there is optimal space for the animal to stand and turn around within the carrier.

Who could resist the charms of a puppy?   The animals are treated with care and reassured while they are being handled.  The airlines personnel are not allowed to open the carriers nor are they allowed to "change" bedding or give the animals food items, they are allowed however to coo and talk to them making their experience as pleasant as possible.

Loose items are not allowed by airline services inside the carriers with the exception of bedding and each carrier is required to supply feed cups in case of emergencies.  The carriers are measured and weighed for the safety of the animal.

The following information is provided and subject to change without prior notice:

  • In most cases delivery is $200 - $250 for  "priority" service (not cargo).
  • The airlines provide a climate controlled, pressurized environment as well as the quickest and most direct  flight available.
  • During June, July, and Aug., Prices may vary some for night flights to provide comfortable temps.
  • These are the safest and only methods we will use.

Please feel free to contact us for additional information.
